Terms of Service
Last Updated: March 2026
Welcome to CoreWise ("we," "us," "our," or "CoreWise"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CoreWise website, browser extensions, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using CoreWise, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use CoreWise.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using CoreWise, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are using CoreWise on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
CoreWise reserves the right to update these Terms at any time without prior notice to you. The date these Terms were last updated will be displayed at the top of this page. Your continued use of CoreWise following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Account Creation & Use
2.1 Anonymous Extractions
You may create and share extractions on CoreWise without creating an account. Anonymous extractions will not be associated with a username and may be published to the community library at your discretion.
2.2 Account Registration
If you choose to create an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify CoreWise immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
2.3 Multiple Accounts
While you may technically create multiple accounts, this is not intended and CoreWise reserves the right to consolidate or terminate duplicate accounts at its discretion.
2.4 Account Termination
CoreWise may terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice. Upon termination, you will lose access to your personal extraction library and account features. However, any extractions you have made public will remain viewable in the community library without attribution to your username.
2.5 Browser Extensions
CoreWise offers browser extensions for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox ("Extensions"). By installing and using an Extension, you agree to these Terms as they apply to all CoreWise services. The Extensions:
- Inject a CoreWise button into YouTube video pages to enable one-click extraction
- Request "activeTab" permission to read the current page's URL when you activate them
- Communicate with CoreWise servers (corewise.video) to submit extraction requests
- Do not collect data in the background or when not actively used by you
Extensions are distributed through the Google Chrome Web Store and Mozilla Add-ons (AMO) and are subject to the policies of those respective stores. CoreWise may update Extensions at any time. Continued use of an Extension after an update constitutes your acceptance of any changes to it.
2.6 Third-Party Sign-In (Google OAuth)
CoreWise supports account creation and login via Google OAuth ("Sign in with Google"). If you choose this method, you authorize CoreWise to receive your Google profile information (name, email address, and profile photo) as permitted by Google's OAuth scopes. CoreWise does not receive or store your Google password. Your use of Google sign-in is also governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
3. Pricing & Subscriptions
3.1 Free Tier
CoreWise offers a free tier that allows new users to create 7 extractions per month. By earning wisdom points through community participation (publishing extractions, receiving upvotes), your monthly extraction limit increases automatically — up to 100 extractions per month at higher tiers. These limits reset monthly, allowing you to continue using the platform at no cost indefinitely. Free tier features are subject to change at CoreWise's discretion.
3.2 Core+ Subscription
CoreWise offers an optional premium subscription ("Core+") available at $3 USD per month (billed monthly) or $20 USD per year (billed annually). Core+ includes additional monthly extractions and premium features as described on the CoreWise website.
3.3 Billing & Payment
Payment is processed through Stripe. You authorize CoreWise to charge your payment method on a recurring basis according to your chosen billing cycle (monthly or annual). You are responsible for ensuring your payment information is current and accurate.
3.4 Refund Policy
All purchases are non-refundable. CoreWise does not offer refunds or credits for unused portions of subscriptions. You may cancel your Core+ subscription at any time, and your access will continue until the end of your current billing period.
3.5 Cancellation
You may cancel your Core+ subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation will take effect at the end of your current billing period. Upon cancellation, you will revert to the free tier with its associated limitations.
3.6 Price Changes
CoreWise reserves the right to change Core+ pricing at any time. If you have an active subscription, price changes will take effect at the beginning of your next billing cycle. If you do not agree to price changes, you may cancel your subscription.
4. User-Generated Content & Ownership
4.1 Your Extractions
You retain all rights to the extractions you create on CoreWise. CoreWise does not claim ownership of, and will not use for training purposes, the content of your extractions.
4.2 Public vs. Private Extractions
You control whether each extraction is public or private:
- Public extractions are shared in the CoreWise community library, searchable, and eligible for upvotes
- Private extractions are viewable only via direct link and do not appear in the community library
You may change the public/private status of any extraction at any time.
4.3 Anonymous Extractions
You may publish extractions anonymously or with a username of your choice. Your username is optional—you may publish without any attribution if you prefer.
4.4 Data Analytics & Improvement
CoreWise may use anonymized extraction data (data from which your identity and personal information have been removed) to analyze platform usage, improve our extraction quality, and develop new features. This data cannot be used to identify you or trace back to your specific extractions.
4.5 Account Deletion & Content
If you delete your account, any extractions you have published to the community library will remain viewable. However, they will no longer be associated with your username. Your private extractions will be permanently deleted.
5. CoreWise Content & Ownership
5.1 Platform Ownership
CoreWise owns all rights to the CoreWise platform, including but not limited to:
- The website and browser extensions (Chrome and Firefox)
- All UI/UX design, layout, and visual elements
- The extraction engine and synthesis algorithms

All rights are reserved. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any CoreWise-owned content without explicit written permission.
5.2 Limited License

- Modify or create derivative works

5.3 Updates & Changes
CoreWise reserves the right to update, modify, or change the Service, including the extraction engine, synthesis methodology, and available features, without notice to you.

You agree not to use CoreWise in any way that:
- Violates any applicable law or regulation
- Infringes on the rights of others (including intellectual property rights)
- Attempts to gain unauthorized access to CoreWise systems or networks
- Attempts to penetrate, breach, or circumvent security measures
- Uses bots, scrapers, or automation to artificially inflate extractions, gaming the system, or extract data at scale
- Reverse-engineers, decompiles, or attempts to derive the proprietary extraction engine or prompts
- Uses CoreWise to create a competing service or product
- Harasses, abuses, or threatens other users
- Publishes content that is illegal, defamatory, obscene, or harmful

- Uses CoreWise for commercial purposes without permission (e.g., white-labeling the service)
- Extracts and republishes content in violation of the content creator's rights or terms
7. Third-Party Content
CoreWise allows you to analyze and extract wisdom from content published on third-party platforms and from files you upload directly, including YouTube videos, podcasts, articles, social media posts, PDF documents, and audio files. You are solely responsible for ensuring that:
- You have the right to use or analyze the third-party content
- Your use complies with the content creator's and platform's terms of service
- You do not violate any applicable copyright, intellectual property, or privacy laws
CoreWise disclaims liability for your use of third-party content. If a third party claims that your extraction infringes their rights, you are responsible for addressing that claim, and CoreWise may remove the extraction if legally required.
8. Community Library & Content Moderation
8.1 Community Library
The CoreWise community library displays publicly shared extractions from users around the world. By publishing an extraction to the community, you are making it visible and searchable to all CoreWise users.
8.2 Content Removal
CoreWise may remove, hide, or unpublish any community extraction that we determine, in our sole discretion, violates these Terms or is otherwise inappropriate (including but not limited to: hateful content, content glorifying gang violence or criminal organizations, misinformation, spam, or illegal content).
8.3 Reporting
If you believe an extraction violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful, you may report it to CoreWise. We will review reported content and take appropriate action.
8.4 No Obligation to Monitor
While CoreWise may remove content on report, CoreWise is not obligated to monitor, review, or moderate community content proactively. Users are responsible for the content they publish.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
9.1 AI Accuracy Disclaimer
CoreWise uses artificial intelligence to extract wisdom from content. AI-generated extractions may contain errors, misinterpretations, or inaccuracies. While CoreWise uses multiple independent AI models and a synthesis engine to minimize errors, perfect accuracy is not guaranteed.
You should not rely on CoreWise extractions as the sole source of information for important decisions. Always fact-check critical claims and verify information through primary sources. You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy and appropriateness of any extraction before relying on it.
9.2 No Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. CoreWise disclaims all warranties including but not limited to:
- Merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any extraction
CoreWise does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.
9.3 Third-Party Service Disclaimers
To provide the Service, CoreWise relies on third-party services. These providers process data on CoreWise's behalf as part of delivering features to you. They include:
- Anthropic (Claude), OpenAI, and Google (Gemini): AI analysis and extraction processing — submitted content URLs, transcripts, and file text are sent to these providers
- SocialKit: Fetching transcripts and AI content summaries from Instagram Reels and videos
- Supadata: Fetching transcripts and metadata from YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and articles
- Deepgram: Audio and video transcription for uploaded media files
- Mistral: OCR processing for scanned or image-based PDF documents
- ElevenLabs: Text-to-speech conversion when you generate audio from an extraction
- DeepL: Text translation for extraction content when Gemini translation is unavailable
- Google Cloud Storage: Secure storage for files you upload to CoreWise
- Cloudflare Turnstile: Bot and abuse protection on forms and submission endpoints
- FingerprintJS: Device fingerprinting used for security, fraud detection, and anonymous session tracking
- Notion: Third-party export of your extraction content when you initiate a Notion sync
- Stripe: Payment processing for Core+ subscriptions
- Resend: Transactional email delivery (e.g., account notifications)
CoreWise disclaims liability if any third-party service becomes unavailable, fails, produces inaccurate output, or experiences outages or degraded performance. These services operate under their own terms of service and privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
9.4 Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, COREWISE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:
- Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities
- Damage to reputation or goodwill
- Any damage or loss arising from your use of or reliance on CoreWise extractions
COREWISE'S TOTAL LIABILITY for any claim arising from or related to these Terms or your use of CoreWise shall be limited to the fees you paid to CoreWise in the 12 months immediately preceding the claim. If you have not paid any fees, CoreWise's liability shall be $0.
This limitation applies even if CoreWise has been advised of the possibility of such damages and regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, strict liability, etc.).
9.5 Essential Term
You agree that these liability limitations are essential terms of this agreement and CoreWise would not provide the Service without them.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CoreWise and its owners, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from:
- Your use of CoreWise
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any applicable law
- Your extraction or publication of third-party content
- Any content you create or publish on CoreWise
- Your infringement of another person's rights
11. Termination
11.1 Termination by CoreWise
CoreWise may terminate your access to the Service at any time, for any reason, with or without cause and without notice. Upon termination:
- Your right to use CoreWise immediately ceases
- You lose access to your personal extraction library
- Any public extractions remain viewable but unattributed
- You remain liable for any violations of these Terms
11.2 Survival
The following sections survive termination: Ownership, Prohibitions, Disclaimers, Limitation of Liability, Indemnification, and Jurisdiction.
12. Data Privacy & GDPR/CCPA Compliance
12.1 Data Collection
CoreWise collects and processes only the data necessary to provide the Service, including:
- Account information (email, username, password hash)
- Extraction history and the content of your extractions
- URLs and files you submit for extraction — these are sent to third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google) for processing
- Uploaded files (PDFs, audio/video) stored temporarily during processing and retained in cloud storage (Google Cloud Storage)
- Usage analytics and platform behavior
- IP address, browser metadata, and device fingerprint (collected via FingerprintJS for security, fraud prevention, and anonymous session tracking)
Because extraction processing relies on multiple AI providers (see Section 9.3), content you submit may be transmitted to and processed by Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google. If you do not wish your content to be processed by a particular AI provider, you should not use CoreWise. We do not currently offer provider-level opt-outs for the core extraction pipeline, though features such as Notion sync and ElevenLabs audio are strictly user-initiated and only triggered when you explicitly activate them.
For complete details on data collection and processing, please see our Privacy Policy.
